Wasting time.

I've very effectively wasted an hour and a half. I think I need to factor this in every time I write. Allow myself a good hour and a half to procrastinate thoroughly and get it out of my system. Then get down to business which is what I'm doing now.

Oh I wrote this morning but my internet wasn't working so I couldn't log it. AND! I'm too lazy to put it up here. I'm pretty sure I'm getting in enough hours so I won't worry about it.
1. 2-28-08, 7:26
2. I plan to write... all night. but I'll log in when I take breaks for various things. I want to write for a one hour block. So I'll take a break around 8:40.
3. I'm going to work on fleshing out the scenes I've created. Like we talked about in class.
4. Alrighty, I wrote until around 8:30 took a little break on the interweb and now I'm going to do another set. Maybe after I refill my mug. The first scene has a lot more detail now and its not too shabby. I remembered the actual shirt I wore that first night which was a lynyrd skynyrd shirt. LMAO! I came up with a pretty good working title for now too.
Music is My Boyfriend:
Confessions of a Modern Muse
I like it now. Who knows if it'll stay that way. I also made a list of clients for her. I think I'm going to start off this next set of writing with some writing exercises on character. I'm going to look some new ones up because I left my Burroway book at home. I'm trying to avoid my house so I'll stay awake. My acid reflux is going to KICK my ass tomorrow for drinking so much coffee.
5. I'm going to do some writing exercises and continue beating my head against my laptop with putting more details into the muse story. Prolly until around 10, then I'll take another little break.

Writer's Thought of the Day:
Keep writing. Keep doing it and doing it. Even in the moments when it's so hurtful to think about writing.
Heather Armstrong. (found it on some quotations page about writing I was looking for David Sedaris quotes but this one seemed more pertinent.)

also I liked this one:
Don't use words too big for the subject. Don't say 'infinitely' when you mean 'very'; otherwise you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite.
C.S. Lewis
