Just watched War Games

It was actually pretty good. With the genius kid who can hack into anything including a pay phone. lol. If only I knew that trick. It had a very clear message though which eerily echoes the one I've been reaching lately. This American Foreign Policy class I've taken has really morphed and cemented my already growing leftist leanings. Something my professor brought up was the rhetoric around the word terrorism. The word in the dictionary means an act of violence to gain a political goal. So in that form what's the difference in what our president has called terrorism and what we've done back to them? It's only war because it's state sponsored and therefore its legit. But is it really? I think I'm turning into a full blown dove of a political.

I really liked the end of War Games. The tic tac toe thing was pretty clever. That the computer can't win against itself so the only way to win is to not play the game. I think young Matthew Broderick in genius form is pretty darn attractive too.

I need to go to campus so I can write this damn paper. I'm thinking I might take a nap instead and stay up late writing.... The latter is much more likely.
Right now I'm about to finish watching Zoom on surfthechannel.com. They really released that too soon after Sky High. Tonight I think I'm gonna go see Hancock which I heard was actually quite good. I still haven't seen Dark Knight and I'm not sure if I should see it in theaters. I don't do violent/scary/intense very well.

That last sentence is true. You don't do violent/scary/intense well at all. You do screaming-obnoxiously-for-little-reason/grabbing-onto-my-arm-and-cowering/hiding- when-roach-like bug-insect-creep-creatures-go-flying-around really, really, exceptionally well, though. It might be charming... I'm not really sure. I tend to be extremely reserved in movies, except when I make terribly inappropriate comments to you and then you giggle a lot. And that's okay with me... I think I like that.

I had the most interesting weekend. Not really, but I should tell you about it over coffee soon. I hope you had a fun night tonight! I stayed in... see my blog for details. Thrilling details. Haha. Oh god. I'm turning into a spinster... but I'll be okay with it, if it involves self-love.

I am easily startled and am really terrified of roaches. Seeing them on a large screen like that attacks people brought all my fears to fruition.

As I frequently tell people, again I'm easily startled even in movies that I know aren't scary if something happens too quickly, and I'm a chronic movie talker. It's comes with the commentative type personality I've come to realize about myself.
