I love my boss

We went from listening to Phil Collins to Gregorian Chant to something in Spanish... In that order. There's no way I can quit this job. It's too sweet of a deal for while I'm still stuck in College Station and I can talk as much shit about hating A&M as I want to. Because my boss went to UT and we have similar political views. Not typical-American view that is. Anyway. I'm at work now if you couldn't surmise that.

Last night was WAY fun. My friend Lindsey who is an amazing poet finally read at an open mic night over in Bryan. The poem she read was A-mazing. I'm so proud of her because that was super hard. A few random people came up and said they really enjoyed it. Also one of the other poets came and asked her to come back because they really liked getting new poets, especially good ones. (Her words not mine, although I heartily agree.) Also I wasn't a big believer in slam poetry. They had a head to head competition of slam poets and OH MY GOSH THOSE PEOPLE ARE AMAZING! They were so good and it wasn't just random rhyming things. They told whole stories and talked about current issues. It was... brilliant. They were so good. And most of them off the top of their head. Crazy amazing good. I dunno how else to describe it.

Then! We went back to Lindsey's and watched The Fifth Element which she hadn't seen before. lol. I forgot how funny it was. Especially Chris Rock's character. That's all that's new. I need to study tonight. I locked my purse (with my keys and phone and debit card) in my car earlier today. The funny thing I happened to actually be holding a book. So if all else failed I could have read until someone came to help me. lol. Also I made a B in pols. Boo. If I make A's in both of my other classes though I'll keep my scholarship.
