Ok. Hard core here it comes...

I'm going to decide from what I've recently read on how I'm going about these revisions. Since I have to write an explication about it making the decisions before hand will let me make these revisions go faster and writing the explication too.

1. I want to write the ride to his mothers house from the point of view of his pony. Mercedes Lackey did this in The Oathbound. I'm going to photocopy the page for you.
2. I'm going to work on editing the "thinking" passages according to Juan Morales' example use of sound to create a feeling in Newspaper Story. I want these parts to flow better and more accurately reflect his feelings. I dunno somehow in my explications I'll bullshit my way through that.
3. I think after arriving at his mothers house I want to change the point of view momentarily to his mothers. Since the visit is unexpected and I think we can get a better idea of Merlin's past also from her. Maybe I can tie this into something Mercedes Lackey did too... I dunno I have to write the first few parts first. Then I'll figure this one out.

This week I'm going to continue with my reading/writing with a goal way of treadmilling...

Writer's Quote of the day:
I was going to find something on perseverance but glanced at the topic of Professor first. This made me laugh out loud. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I think being a professor is really the right thing for me. Anyway I also LOVE W. H. Auden. I might use some of his poems to revise my next draft.
"A professor is one who talks in someone else's sleep." W.H. Auden
